About The Game:

Imagine a place where everything that is lost and forgotten goes; old toys, letters, single socks. The Forgotten Lands is a magical world inhabited by Forgotlings; creatures composed of mislaid objects longing to be remembered again.

Forgotton Anne is a seamless cinematic adventure with a focus on meaningful st.

Tarot cardsShowed on a savegame after end of the game.Based on choices, that changed internal in-game counters of the Ego and the Force. Rebel. The Rebel is idealistic and committed, force is never a solution. The Rebel acts in order to further understanding. Enforcer. The Enforcer is strong-willed and relentless. Keeping up the stated law, the Enforcer carries out almost any order without question.

Caretaker. The Caretaker strives to treat everyone equally and peacefully. Rarely seeking to influence the world, the Caretaker observes life as it unfolds. Master. The Master is clever and powerful. A natural leader, the Master has the courage not only to dream but also to carry out the dream, no matter the costs. So these pictures or cards indicate not the states of the world, but the states of Anne or the player. But how did you unlock 'Rebel' and 'Enforcer'?

I've unlocked 'Caretaker' during peaceful walkthrough and 'Master' during violent walkthrough and I can't figure out how to unlock the other two. Their descriptions are confusing. 'Rebel' means peaceful? But when I was peaceful, I've unlocked 'Caretaker'. 'Enforcer' means loyal to Bonku?

But what do I need to do exactly? I think it makes no sense, you can't be the rebel 100% and you can't be the enforcer 100%. The story is pretty linear, you can't refuse to cooperate with the rebels, for example.

So in the first half of the game Anne is always the enforcer and in the second half of the game Anne is always the rebel. And I want to ask you about mementos and diary entries. I've collected everything, but there are still two empty pages. Is it alright, or something should be there? Maybe even developers could answer. That would be very nice. Like I said, I've unlocked 'Master' during violent walkthrough. My goal was to distill every distillable forgotling and I think I did it.

Anne

In that scene with the mirror, I distilled Mop and did not revive anybody. Also I think there is some algorithm of your choices for each card, but because of the story is pretty linear, it is not enough motivation to beat the game four times just to see some minor changes in some dialogues and unlock some static pictures. After all, you can't change anything important. Machinal instincts. There is only an illusion of choice and it is very disappointing. But they can't go back to the real world.

The second ending is not really an ending, but a time loop. Also I think that these cards just don't make any sense. I mean, if there were four significantly different storylines with four different endings and your choices could change them, it would be understandable.

Actually that would be great. But with what we have, two cards would be enough. One card for the good walkthrough and the other card for the evil walkthrough I would say. But we have what we have. @insanecobraI allowed Inspector Magnum do do this dirty work in the basement and even crash poor Pax.Dilly, Secti, and Handroll was distill (By Radio Walker). Quill was punished too.I did not distill poor Tiphany. My theorie about the ending where Anne and Bonku attemp to return to the real world through the ether bridge, but ends back into the Forgotling world. I dont think its a time loop.I think the same second when Anne/Bonku enter the real world they are teleported back into the Forgotling world, because they are still forgotten in the real world and therefore goes straight back into the Forgotling world again. There is nobody to remember them.

Anne/Bonku can never leave the Forgotling world. I think it is pretty obvious that they can't go back to the real world because they are forgotten by everyone out there.

Anyway, how it's not a time loop? They can't go back home and everytime they try, they are inevitably going to start all over again and again and again, like in Groundhog Day. You can call it a time loop or a cycle of repetition or an infinite circle.

The meaning is quite similar. And one more important thing. We can see the sign 'The End' only by choosing to stay and crystallize. Therefore I think that there is only one true ending. Some major spoilers ahead, so be warned!@BattlekruseWait, did you distill Pax yourself?

Because it sounds as if you let Inspector Magnum crash him, but that can't be right, since you meet Magnum only after you've already taken care of the Pax situation. Inspector Magnum can shoot Heeltoe, that much is true. How did you distill Secti, and when? Or did you mean you let Magnum arrest Secti when you meet him for the second time? And who are Handroll and Radio Walker?

I can't remember those names. What did you do with Tink (the alarm clock)?Anyway, I'm not sure that the theory of the continuous loop holds water. Sure, if nobody remembers Anne and Bonku in the real world, it would make sense to have them return to the Forgotling world as soon as they step through the Ether Bridge.

However, Caretaker explicitly warns Anne that if she steps through the Ether Bridge, the Forgotling world will cease to exist. Furthermore, why does the time rewind? And why to that moment? The Forgotling world existed long before Anne, and even Bonku arrived there. At least one Forgotling mentions life before Bonku.

@insanecobraFirst I meet Pax and Secti at the trainstation, where the outcome was that Secti was distilled by Anne. I just walked up to him and did it, then later in the game we meet Pax again where Anne is going together with Inspector Magnum and meet Pax again.Inspector Magnum started to jump on Pax, but I manage to talk him from to crash him. However Inspector Magnum shot Heeltoe in the basement and that was shocked event. I really just thought that he was going to talk with him.I think that event with Handroll and Radio Walker is a secret.

I missed a jump on the roof and fall down. Then I found some forgottlings there has trapped the rebel Radio Walker where Handroll wanted to distilled him. However I manage to ruined everything, and Radio Walker escaped and distilled Handroll.Tink was distilled.

No other choice.I also found aA space rocket in a apartment, then later i returned where it was launched off. @BattlekruseNow, the bit about Pax is very interesting, because I've always dealt with Pax instead of Secti (either by distilling him or sending him off to the Plant), so I've never encountered that course of events. I'll definitely try that on my next playthrough! And about Handroll and Radio Walker, I think I know who you're talking about now. You meet them near the end, right? When you're returning home with Fig.Anyway, thanks for all the suggestions, hopefully I'll manage to get the Rebel card next. The scene with Talkwalker (walkie talkie) in the cage is not a secret event and Talkwalker is definitely not a rebel. It is possible to avoid distilling Tink.I have some questions about Caretaker too. What she says is quite misleading.

Why she told us several times that we will have to make a choice and that choice would change everything? She made us think that we actually can go back home if we choose to do so. Now we know that the second option is just pointless. We can't go back home, we can't change anything and we don't really have a choice. There is only an illusion of choice.

She didn't know what was really going to happen? I have just one simple explanation for this. The story is kind of messy and has some plot holes. That's my explanation. I would like to hear what the developers could say about that, but I think that's not going to happen.
