Participation in the Battle is individual and only your personal result counts. Therefore, the result depends entirely on you! The Battle of Titans is held once every 6 days and lasts for 24 hours. When you participate in the Battle of Titans and attack other colonizers, you receive points for 4 factors at the same time: Glory, Damage, Resources, and XP for your troops. Depending on the place you scored at all factors, the best colonizers will be decided!

To keep a consistent line of fire (use with lasers and anti-shield lasers) this must be done very quickly. It will also keep your weapon at the overheating point, but with great results. This is an effective way to make anti-shield runs against large targets.Never engage a craft with a green indicator, only fire on crafts with blue indicators.One of the most important procedures that you must become skillful with is the quick launching of defensive type mines. These are used to keep enemy missiles off the hull of your ship.
You launch a mine by pressing the O button while holding down R2 and L2. This will give you a quick look behind your ship.
You must be able to release a mine in a second's notice. Just as soon as you hear the incoming missile alarm sound, do this procedure.Frequently checking the radar will allow you to be fully aware of your immediate surroundings. The radar view becomes essential when your mission involves destroying mines, strike cannons, sirens, and any other stationary obstructions.Try to target all enemies you intend to engage.

I'm not suggesting that you use a missile on each enemy, rather, targeting will make locating them in traffic much easier. You will get a multi-colored circle around your foe that will allow for easier identification. Press the O button to target (default).You'll want to use your anti-shield weapons frequently when engaging the enemy. Use of 'damage type' weapons on a shielded vessel, or port, will result in only twenty-five percent effectiveness against the defenses. You might try switching your view to the third person setting when you're preparing to engage a larger scale enemy vessel. This will allow you to see exactly where you are in relation to the other vessel.When you notice that an enemy fighter has taken a particular liking to the hull of your ship, use the shoulder buttons (to roll) with varied bursts of throttle to try avoiding any sticky situations.
Try to get in a position where you are in control. Your flight skills, both offensive and defensive, will be best honed by utilizing the Training Missions at the start of the game. Use this non-engaging time to get a good feel for your ship's capabilities.Utilization of your EMP weapons will enhance your chances of taking out large-scale enemy assaults efficiently. EMP weapons are used to knock out the other ship's electronic functions.
This function will leave your enemies floating dead in space, without any evasive means.Be wary of enemies attempting to draw your fire toward your own League forces. Friendly fire is hardly tolerated in this rush for space liberation. Being labeled as a traitor will result in your League Status being revoked.System 1Initial Duty Three enemy fighters will attempt to engage you. Take out their shields with the anti-shield lasers and destroy the crafts. The Stun Missiles are an effective tool against these evasive fighters, as they will render the enemy ships inoperable. You must first lock on by pressing the O button (default control setting), then wait until you receive the lock on confirmation (circular targeting grid becomes an X grid).Defending the Civilian Convoy This is very cut and dry. Simply engage the enemy fighters and destroy them.
Understand at this point, that if you accidentally hit allied ships with 'friendly fire' the league will not be very understanding. Forgiveness is not in their vocabulary.Make sure you attempt your pot shots away from civilian transports and allied fighters. You can 'escape' in a pod if you are generally unsuccessful, but continuous hits on League ships will result in you losing your League status, and your forced withdrawal from the campaign.The Navy Threatens Gallonigher Start off by taking out the two Navy fighter scouts that will attempt to intercept your League advancement.
You'll now experience the first of many encounters with an uncloaking Navy frigate. There are multiple patterns you can assimilate into your own technique of attacking larger ships. You may want to have the foresight to NOT use your available anti-shield missiles until you encounter this Navy frigate.The first technique is more 'video game' oriented in that you can try to remain in.
