Sky Force 2014 is a new top-down shooting game for the iOS and Android. It’s actually a sequel to Sky Force, a mobile title from ten years ago – and fans of Raiden and other arcade top-down bullet-hell games from their childhoods will love this game. Read on for some tips and tricks for Sky Force 2014!
You have a lot of goals in each level in Sky Force 2014. They usually consist of destroying enemy planes (and ships and gun towers, etc), rescuing people, destroying the eventual boss character, and moving onto the next level. Your number one goal, though, above anything else (and the reason why you lose the stage when you don’t follow this) is to do the simplest thing: Don’t get hit by bullets! Avoid them. Avoid the bullets and avoid anything else that could kill you.

Once you do that, then start focusing on your goals. Collect stars in order to use them to purchase upgrades for your plane. Also, you will be graded for every level based on the percentage of enemies you destroy and the percentage of people on the ground that you rescue. You can go back to old levels later to increase your scores by doing that (as well as simply by collecting more stars).
When you purchase an upgrade, it will take a certain amount of time for the upgrade to finish, unless you want to pay more stars to use it right away. If you want to use it right away for free, do the time lapse cheat by setting the time ahead on your phone or tablet in order to make it finish immediately. Once you go back to the game it will be available.
You have up to 10 lives at a time, and if you run out of lives, you have to wait for them to come back. The same trick used above will work for regaining your lives immediately, as well. Go back to the game, then go back to the date and time settings after doing the trick and verifying that your lives are there. Then set the time back to normal and go back to the game again, and your lives will still be there.
Use this trick to load up on stars. Only purchase the upgrades when you really need to. Instead, save up your stars for the cool auxiliary weapons, such as the mega bomb and the laser cannon, that you can purchase for your plane. These will significantly increase your firepower and your chances of victory on every stage.

It's not a deep campaign, it's a traditional SNES style game with better graphics. A lot of fun. I've spent many hours unlocking and powering up. A little bit on the light side of being able to level up without spending cash. It would be nice if heavy grinders got rewarded in a more liberal manner than having to spend money. It won't break you though.
