   This song is the conclusion to the shit between jeffory atkins aka ja rule and eminem. ja rules song 'lose change' is made to attack the fuck out of eminem or as ja calls him in the song 'feminem' a line in jas song says 'em you claim your mothers a crack head, and kim is a known slut, so whats hailey gonna be when she grow up?' eminem made a fair few songs against ja rule like hail mary but more specificaly hailies revenge. Halies revenge is feturing obie trice, kuniva, swift, kon artis and proof. each rapper tears the shit outta ja rule claiming he is a 'repleca guy' insinuating he is a copy of the late great one (tupac) 'but when your gone, your gonna be the late fake one' after this song eminem had won this 'fight' with ja and toy soldiers is basically saying 'althought the battle was won I feel like we lost it, I spent too much energy on it honestly I'm exausted' toy soldiers is a song made to oppose gang violence because it escelates and involves loved ones as shown here-

   'Like Toy Soldiers' is about Eminem attempting to calm the violence between select rappers. In the song he talks about the problems he had with 'The Source' magazine editor, Benzino. It also talks about the feud between rapper 50 Cent and Ja Rule and how it was much worse then the 'Jay-Z and Nas' feud. Another thing he talks about in the song is Murder Inc. Records, consisting of: Ja Rule. Eminem also tries to settle down the fight he had been in with, who else but: Ja Rule. In one of Ja Rule's songs, 'Loose Change,' Ja implies that Eminem, and everyone he interacts with, turn into screw ups. Ja basically says that Hailie, Eminem's birth daughter, would follow the same path and become a mess as well.
   Eminem also speaks of feuds involving Dr. Dre (Dre and Suge Knight). 'My intentions were good, I went through my whole career without ever mentioning _______.' Eminem purposely says nothing but implies he has never brought up the Dre/Suge feud.
   Eminem also says that he knows that if someone ever dissed him in a song he would have people lining up at his doors to feature in his next song and bash them with a verse: 'We still got soldiers that's on the front line, That's willing to die for us as soon as we give the orders, Never to extort us strictly to show they support us.'
   In retrospect, Eminem wrote this song because he wants everyone to know that he is waving the white flag and he wants rap to go back to the way it used to be: when it was fun and you just rapped to insult people and never had to worry about them getting angry and starting a long-lasting feud.

   Its about the shady records beef and murder inc beef. Eminem talks about how hes suck of the beef. He talks about the shooting death of Proof, who actually was shot two years later. The man who saved his life is Dr. Dre. Eminem pretty much said, fuck the beef, im done.

   DJB23 was correct in everything he said, but possibly the most meaningful part and the last straw for Eminem, was when 50 Cent and his friend Toy Soldier, were stabbed by Ja's crew. Toy Soldier had nothing to do with the dispute, simply a matter of being at the wrong place at the wrong time, so Eminem's song 'Like Toy Soldiers' was fueled by the guilt of an innocent friend nearly dying during the rap wars due to a dispute between artists.

    Like Toy Soldiers is a song where after Eminem won his rap battle with Ja. He felt like he lost it. It's to show that there was a time where you could bust a rap and everything stays the same. But nowadays, you same something people go after you and your loved ones. He made this song so people could just stop the violence in rap and let them be. Unfortunately, a few months later after the song was released, it became real when 'Proof'(EMINEM's best friend) died in an altercation in a bar.
